Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actress since late 1980s. She is known for her roles in television and in film since the late 1980s she's won numerous awards like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was raised living in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an aunt in New York New York. Her mother split with her father when she was approximately five. She and her younger sister later relocated from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. In high school, Bassett watched John Steinbeck's drama Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she wanted to pursue a career as an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut awarded her a bachelor's degree (1980), in African American study, and an advanced degree (1983), from the Yale School of Drama. In 1997, she got married to Courtney B. Vance who was an actor in the same group. Qualification: B.A. The Yale School of Drama conferred the degree of Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett back in the year. She attended the institutions that she attended: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for seventh graders, Azalea Middle School for 8th & 9th grades and Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett, who plays Ramonda the female lead in the action adventure film I. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
